Top 5 Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2019 and Beyond

If you have an idea that will allow you to run your own business after you finish your college education or training school, congratulations. Some of the most important investions and technological advancements have come from people who said, “I don’t want to work for anyone else.”

You also take on a great deal of responsibility if you decide to go into business for yourself, but with this comes a possibility of a huge payoff.

Think of taking on entrepreneurship or business ownership like a huge trip to Vegas where you have to take some risk, but if you’re good at what you do, it will pay off in a big way.

In this post we will take a look at five entrepreneurs whom you should watch in 2019 and beyond who have started to make a big impact in the world. Follow them on Twitter or Facebook to see what they do next and see what you can learn from them.

1. Catherine Cook

Catherine Cook is the creator of MyYearBook.com. She started getting interested in starting a business at the tender age of 15. Her idea was interesting- to digitize high school yearbooks and put them online. She needed capital to get it going, so her big brother, Geoff, lent her some money to get started. She launched the MyYearbook.com site and she and her brother are now two of the richest young entrepreneurs in the country!

2. David Karp

David Karp is the founder of Tumblr.com, a popular social media and blog site. It is now owned by Yahoo whom Karp sold it to, which helped him turn a few thousand dollars into millions. He has a net worth of around $200 million.

3. Varun Agarwal

Varun Agarwal is an entrepreneur and filmmaker, and the co-founder of a company that specializes in selling school merchandise across the country. He wrote the book, ‘How I Braved Anu Aunty & Co-Founded a Million Dollar Company,’and he said he is happy to break away from the stereotype that many parents in India have of pushing their kids to become engineers.

4. Pete Cashmore

Pete Cashmore is the CEO and founder of the “Mashable” blog. Pete has a net worth of $95 million. He founded the website at the young age of 20, after trying to find something where he could stay in bed while working! He creates entertaining content that resonates with the younger crowd and has over 8.82 million followers on his Twitter account.

5. Jon Wheatley

Jon Wheatley is a young entrepreneur who made his fortune by introducing a photo blogging website. The site allowed users to upload pictures with captions to share with friends. People liked the idea and his hard work has paid off.

What do all of these young entrepreneurs have in common? Did they have a ton of money given to them to start their businesses? Did they go around complaining about how they wish everything was free? No! They all decided that they wanted to control their own fate, financial income, and destiny through hard work and concentrated effort.

Think about what you do well and focus on it daily. Look into schools, scholarships, part-time employment  and student loans that you might need to achieve your goals. Perhaps you already have a great idea that does not require a college education. That’s okay, too.

Choose what you really love to do and the money will follow, if you are determined to win and you never give up. Keep a positive attitude, despite what others are doing around you and you will do it!
